Meet our Members
In September 2025, the Alentejo Alliance team gathered a small group of Alcácer do Sal business owners together simply because they shared a common belief that something more was possible here. That gathering became the beginning of the Cooperativa Empresarial, Alcácer do Sal's first business association, which formally launched its membership-based business model this year.
These Founding Members said yes before there was any structure to join, before mentorship, before working groups, before public launch events. Their trust and belief in this community gave the Cooperativa its first shape, and their fingerprints are on everything that follows.

Now by the Sado in Alcácer do Sal, Grão no Rio brings that same world to a riverside setting, in the shape of an all-day-café. Curated but warm, premium but never pretentious, and deeply rooted in the Alentejo Litoral, the space gives Alcácer beautiful housemade pastries, brunch and lunch options, great café and cocktails, plus a few very special products created by them.
From its food and own-label products to the spaces it creates, everything is shaped by the landscape, its producers and its pace. Here, the Alentejo is not a backdrop for Grão. It is the foundation.
